About the role:
This role has become available due to an internal promotion. The Lead Architect role delivers solution architecture and design outcomes within Unitywater, providing leadership to programs and projects on, and being hands-on delivering solution architecture and ensuring that all solution architecture is documented and delivered in line with established standards and templates. You will be a key stakeholder within the business, ensuring alignment with business requirements and providing technical advice to allow technology decisions and investments to be made.
This role sits within the Technology & Digital Solutions (T&DS) branch which is responsible for digital and technology solutions across the organisation. This encompasses capabilities across technology strategy and architecture, business advocacy, project management and the optimisation of operations and security for all Unitywater technology investments. The Technology Strategy and Architecture section for which this role is a key team member, is one of 5 sections within the T&DS branch.
The Technology Strategy & Architecture section ensures that Unitywater’s enterprise and solution architecture and individual solution designs are aligned to the overarching Digital & Technology Strategy and Roadmap. The team ensures that technology strategies, plans and solutions consider people, process and technology and set the standards and expectations for solution design.
About you:

• Proven experience in delivering practical solution architecture that utilises a method and framework.
• Strong knowledge of cloud architectures and design principle
• Strong awareness of Agile framework and DevOps
• A “big picture” perspective and application of best practises and next practises in the industry.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with experience in presentation, consultation and negotiation, coupled with the ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong awareness and understanding of hardware, networks, software, technologies, applications and industry trends.
• Qualifications within a Technology or other related discipline, coupled with business acumen, and large-scale Technology system know-how, governance and operations.
• Highly desirable; TOGAF Certified, ITIL Certification (or similar)
