About the role
Thiess is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as Asset Systems Lead. As part of our Asset Management team, you will be responsible for coordinating systems projects relevant to asset management and global aspects of asset operations. This pivotal role requires someone with a strong background in maintenance operations, asset management systems, and procedures, particularly within the context of large mining equipment.
Additionally, you will:
Develop, implement and continually improve systems that drive best practice management of fixed and mobile mining assets over their life cycle
Support regional asset teams to implement standardised global processes through consistent application of the Thiess Governance System
Evaluate feasibility, identify risks and opportunities in systems and procedures related to Asset Management services
Implement systems and procedures in support of Asset Management services
Ensure operational plan delivery by setting clear objectives, promptly addressing obstacles, and monitoring progress.
Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring tailored to individual strengths, fostering continuous learning.
Foster commitment to team objectives through effective communication, encouraging input, and promoting ownership and accountability.
About you
Possess an Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications/experience.
Demonstrate expertise in maintenance operations with large mining equipment.
Exhibit proficiency in asset management systems and procedures, especially pertaining to large mining equipment.
Experience in statutory engineering and governance preferred
