As the successful candidate, you have strong math and logical thinking, excellent understanding of algorithms, data structures, software architecture and design, and you understand the logic behind how things work. You are tech-savvy and eager to assist your team in identifying and solving complex problems.You will be responsible for building, managing and motivating team of talented software developers, driving the necessary research activities, introducing new technology and delivering finished products to market. You will be leading numerous projects with responsibility for project plan development, risk management, issue management, project communication, knowledge management, and status reporting. This role includes a hands-on component and you are comfortable with actual practical development / testing and integration responsibilities, you are expected to personally perform code reviews, participate in architectural discussions and make technical decisions on a daily basis.

You will work alongside SOTI’s partners which include leading tech giants that will keep you on the cusp of emerging technologies.What You’ll DoLeading and motivating a team of software engineersImproving and developing team processes and engineering practicesBuilding the Release Plan based on priorities defined by the organizationDelivering against the Release Plan and managing dependencies with other teamsDesign, enhance, and implement enterprise grade web applications user interfacesCreate custom controllers to facilitate design and technological requirementsRefactor/redesign legacy code, implement automated tests, address bugs.Help rectify features requirements, tasks definitions, provide effort estimates, schedule execution.Provide clear and timely communication to the rest of the teamStay up-to-date with advanced technologies in order to be able to provide the best solutions for new projects.Adhere to industry best practices and contribute to internal coding standardsMaintain high standards of quality for code, technical documentation, and deliverablesCollaborate with other developers through code reviews and design discussionsHave fun, with all of the above!Experience You’ll BringExcellent math and logical thinking, ability to understand the logic behind Computer Science and the relationships within programs themselvesExperience leading a team of software developersExcellent understanding of software architecture with a demonstrated history of enhancing software architecture in previous rolesStrong hands-on experience in Software Development & solution design, preferably with product companies.Demonstrable versatility in multiple front-end and back-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, NodeJS, REST APIs, JSONPassion for modern technology and a proven track record of successfully making a positive impact as a tech visionary.Excellent understanding of unit test principles, multi-layer architecture, SOA principles and best development practices.Eagerness to constantly learn and update your skills, and you like to share knowledge with others.Experience (or strong interest) in agile methods such as Scrum/XP, Business Driven Development, and Continuous DeliveryPositive and can-do attitude, inspiring optimism, and determination among the team; drive for excellenceProven ability to drive results and meet ambitious targets, while maintaining a supportive and nurturing team cultureDemonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach challenges with a proactive and innovative mindsetAnalytical rigor and solid process managementGood understanding of configuration and release management best practicesStrong verbal and written communication skills, ability to influence technical discussions and decisionsStrong education in Computer Science/Math is preferredScrum Master Certification (preferred)3-5 years of experience in Leading development teamsAbout SOTISOTI is a proven innovator and industry leader for simplifying business mobility solutions by making them smarter, faster and more reliable.
