About the role
As our Lead Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our dynamic team based in either Brisbane or Melbourne. Bringing strategic and tactical leadership, you’ll turn business requirements into functional reality, driving successful software enhancement initiatives.
You will take the lead in ensuring that the cadence of the software delivery function(s) is maintained and optimised, driving process change and efficiency where possible. In addition, you will support both project and continuous improvement activity within the broader program of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SMEs to understand business needs, capture requirements, and design valuable solutions for the HTW Group.
- Gather, validate and document business requirements and support the development of functional/technical specifications to take them into technical delivery.
- Drive the application of fit-for-purpose backlog prioritisation frameworks while simultaneously taking the lead on their enhancement and evolution.
- Lead the application of Agile rituals and processes including but not limited to; stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog grooming, showcases and program increment planning.
- Provide outcome-focused line management for assigned resources, optimising performance and fostering professional development.
- Play a leading role within the broader product management functions across the business as part of a cross-business coalition.
About You

- Demonstrate expertise in business environmental analysis, process modelling and effective communication at all levels.
- Think creatively, work collaboratively and possess a proven ability to solve business challenges.
- Excel in requirement gathering, asking the right questions and understanding information accurately.
- Experience in leading the delivery of complex external-facing documentation/reports, including requirements gathering, mock-ups and stakeholder “playbacks”.
- Showcase a track record of delivering complex external-facing documentation/reports in collaborative and agile teams.
