As a Lead Civil Engineer, you will join a large and established multidisciplinary project team based at our centrally located Perth CBD office. As a valued member of the team, you will take on a critical role in leading an established team of Civil Engineers working on a major mining project, valued at more than $1 billion. In this, you will take on a critical role to ensure we deliver the work to the highest standard.

Our global team of over 5,200 dedicated mining professionals are supporting the industry to decarbonise mining operations in the accelerating green transition. Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, you’ll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects. We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining.
What you’ll do:
- Lead an established team of Civil Engineers working on a major mining project with scope focused on civil earthworks, roads, material handling transfer pads, non-process infrastructure pads, surface water management and drainage.
- Lead, mentor and spearhead the development of your team.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance across various stages of the project from design through to implementation.
- Produce design documentation, specifications, and project deliverables.
- Apply a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles to create and deliver practical and economical solutions that meet client's requirements.
- Produce and coordinate the production of documentation, specifications, and project deliverables within agreed project timeframes and budget for the given scope.
About You
You’re likely to have a demonstrated capability as a technical leader and people mentor.
In addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.
- 12+ years of relevant professional experience and demonstrated experience working on mining, earthworks and road projects.
- Demonstrated experience working on study and design projects within the mining industry.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of engineers and designers.
- Strong interpersonal skills, having impact and influence with the capacity to build professional relationships both internally and client-facing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and resolve complex issues.
