Our Tier 1 EPCM client seeks an experienced Lead Civil Engineer to work on a major project with a 3+ years project life for a Tier 1 mining company, Perth based on an initial 12-month contract (high possibility for extension!).
This large-scale project, valued at over $1 billion, aims to sustain the mining client’s iron ore production in Western Australia. The project scope includes civil earthworks, roads, material handling transfer pads, non-process infrastructure (NPI) pads, and surface water management and drainage.
As a Lead Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of project delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of Civil Engineers and fostering their development.
- Providing technical expertise and guidance throughout various project stages, from design to implementation.
- Producing design documentation, specifications, and project deliverables.
- Applying a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles to develop practical and economical solutions that meet client requirements.
- Coordinating the production of documentation, specifications, and deliverables within agreed project timeframes and budget constraints.
- Minimum job duration of 18 months with high potential for extension beyond the initial 12 months.
- Flexible working hours allowing customization of start and end times.

- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering.
- 12+ years of relevant professional experience and demonstrated experience working on mining, earthworks and road projects.
- Demonstrated experience working on study and design projects within the mining industry.
- Demonstrated capability as a technical leader and people mentor with the ability to lead and manage a team of engineers and designers.
- Strong interpersonal skills, having impact and influence with the capacity to build professional relationships both internally and client-facing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse and resolve complex issues.
