Location:Homes Tasmania - Housing Policy and Programs - Commissioning Unit - Statewide **** Note - Specific work location to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Duties:Primary Purpose / Focus :This is a senior leadership role within the Housing Policy and Programs branch, requiring experience in developing contract management policy and procedures to oversee Homes Tasmania's contract management framework for funded community sector services.The Lead Commissioning Advisor will lead the Commissioning Unit to develop and maintain a contract management framework and implement prudential controls and risk management for Homes Tasmania to support contract managers.Skills and experience :Selection criteria includes:
  • Demonstrated ability to provide authoritative, specialist and effective advice to senior executives and colleagues on relevant issues across the spectrum of their responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills to develop and lead a team through creating a shared vision by clearly articulating business priorities and adapting to changing circumstances to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated high level knowledge and understanding of contract law, with demonstrated experience in commissioning and contracting with the community sector, including the ability to develop procedures and documents that meet business priorities and legal requirements.

Desirable Requirements:
  • Current Driver's Licence.
  • Satisfactory completion of an appropriate course of study, such as a Bachelor of Law, from a recognised tertiary institution.
