Lead Cost Controller

Reporting to the General Manager Finance the Lead Cost Controller will provide strategic financial and commercial advice to deliver on the Corporate objective to create value whilst managing commercial risk and ensuring financial compliance and internal controls are maintained.

The Company

BCI Minerals Limited (ASX:BCI) is an Australian owned mineral resources company with salt and potash as its initial focus. A future Tier One project, Mardie has been designed to produce 5.35Mtpa of high-purity salt and 140ktpa of Sulphate of Potash (SOP).

Using an inexhaustible seawater resource and 99% of the energy required produced by natural solar and wind energy, our Mardie project is a multi-generational sustainable opportunity that will supply the growing chemical, renewable energy, and agricultural industries with Salt and Sulphate of Potash for generations to come.

The Role

As the Lead Cost Controller, you will support the Project team by overseeing and managing the cost control function. This role involves coordinating and implementing cost control measures to ensure the project is executed within budgetary constraints. You will collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and other relevant parties to develop accurate and comprehensive project budgets for packages of work. Additionally, you will utilize expertise in cost estimation methodologies to provide accurate cost projections during the project planning phase and work closely with project teams to assess the cost impact of changes in scope, schedule, or other project parameters.

About You:

You will have at least 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining sector and a degree qualification or equivalent experience in Project orientated Cost Management or Quantity Surveying. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in cost control projects and experience working with project cost systems. They will also have advanced Microsoft Excel skills and demonstrated proficiency in Power BI.

You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration.
