Form of workGreat new opportunity for a “Lead Engineer - Dev Test” to join our Delivery team at ING. Reporting to the Quality Practice Manager, you'll play a key role in the continual advancement of our engineering practices through practices such as Agile and Continuous Delivery.
The Lead Engineer will apply their skills in leading software engineering technologies to create new features and improvements throughout our technology stack. As a Lead Engineer, you’ll at times function in one of our Squads and work in cross-cutting role driving advancements in our engineering practices. You’ll lead by example and coach others to develop and automate the testing of robust, adaptable code that is always production ready.

What you’ll do…
- Lead the establishment of a detailed roadmap for test automation in IBAL, covering all aspects of the testing strategy for our emerging distributed architecture as well as existing systems.
- Lead implementation of the framework that is empowering all Tribes to be writing high-value automated performance, load, reliability, and integration tests such as consumer driven contract tests.
- Train the quality practice and the Engineering group in the skills needed for high-value automated testing.
- Partner with Tribes to ensure continuous improvement of the test automation practice via best practices and Test Guilds.
- Actively lead and contribute to initiatives which support the growth and efficiency of the testing discipline.
What we’re looking for …
- Demonstrable experience in building full stack test automation frameworks including database, services, and user interface automation.
- Experience in building test automation frameworks using open source\Microsoft technologies.
- Instrumental in creating and maintaining test pipelines in Azure Devops or CI /CD tool.
- Demonstrated experience in Java/C#.
- Strong knowledge on any UI Testing Automation Framework using Selenium WebDriver, Appium.
- Strong experience in API Testing including API automation framework and Micro services.
- Knowledge of one or more scripting languages -PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Perl, Shell scripting.
