Lead Educational Leader and Mentor - ECT
As a Lead Educational Leader and Mentor in early childhood education, your role would be multifaceted, focusing on both leadership and Mentorship aspects. Golden Seeds Early Learning is currently seeking a passionate and experienced ECT who is excited to take on our amazing opportunity as the Lead Educational Leader & Mentor to join our team at Golden Seeds Narrabeen.
Job Summary:
The Educational Leader and Mentor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality early childhood education and care services. This position involves providing leadership, guidance, and support to all our educators at Golden Seeds to enhance their pedagogical practices and promote continuous improvement in line with the National Quality Framework (NQF) Quality Area 1 - Educational Program and Practice. This role will be 2 days off the floor and 3 days on the floor with future growth and opportunity.
Responsibilities:
1. Educational Leadership:
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs that reflect the principles and practices outlined in the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) or relevant curriculum framework.
- Foster a culture of reflective practice among educators, encouraging critical analysis and ongoing professional growth.
- Collaborate with our management team to ensure educational practices align with regulatory requirements and organisational goals.
- Stay abreast of current research, trends, and best practices in early childhood education to inform program development and decision-making.
2. Mentorship:
- Provide mentoring and coaching to our Educational Leaders at various locations enhancing their understanding and implementation of Quality Area 1 standards throughout their service.
- Conduct regular observations and assessments of educational practices, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
- Assist educators in identifying professional development needs and facilitate relevant training opportunities.
- Support educators in creating inclusive learning environments that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children.
- Provide training and opportunities for regular workshops to be held throughout the year with all Educational Leaders. Our goal is to build a strong network amongst our company to enhance and build a better understanding of Quality Area 1 practices through each location
3. Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external stakeholders to promote a shared vision of quality early childhood education.
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and regulatory bodies to ensure transparency and compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings, professional learning communities, and networking events to share knowledge and resources.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in early childhood education or a related field.
- Extensive experience working in early childhood education settings, with a demonstrated understanding of pedagogical principles and curriculum frameworks.
- Strong leadership and Mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and empower educators to achieve excellence.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and regulations governing early childhood education in the local context.
