Lead Estimator - opportunity join industry leader & pro team in project delivery & get deep in estimation to execution, projects around the world
ECG Engineering are leaders in the Electrical Engineering space, delivering design and project delivery services to the Mining, Utilities, Materials Handling and Industrial sectors with extensive and proven capabilities in Australia, and around the world.With offices in Perth, Brisbane, Toronto, Manila & Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, ECG have the capability to design and deliver on complex projects, from early study work to commissioning and handover, drawing on the expertise of senior ECG personnel who have worked together for 30 + years.
We require a Lead Estimatorto join the ECG engineering team to manage and co ordinate estimating across multiple complex engineering projects, in multiple different minerals, on multiple different continents.
The Lead Estimatorrole will suit an Estimator with 12 to 20 + years experience,who has a passion for working in a major project environment and being a part of the team that pulls the project bids and estimates together. The ideal applicant will have extensive estimating experience in electrical / power systems / instrumentation packages in mineral and metal / energy projects in Australia, and around the world.
Integral to the role is the ability to collate accurate electrical material take-off’s with the ability to evaluate, identify scope anomalies/complexities through simple and complex electrical drawings.
ECG are extensively involved in the renewables space: most of our project work involves the evaluation of the renewables option as a client priority.
Ideal Key Experience required.
- Experience in preparation of estimates / bids for electrical (HV & LV), instrumentation and complex electrical controls
- Experience producing fixed lump sum enquiries with the expectation to present the estimate through a formal review process & obtain management approval prior to submission
- Experience in engineering consultancy bids and studies in mining, resources energy projects, in Australia, and ideally overseas (Africa).
- Construction experience / background: understanding the processes and linkages
- Engineering / business / legal / construction economics degree
- Strong financial / excel skills
- Microsoft experience specifically
