Overview:-

Our Data Team is pioneering groundbreaking solutions at the intersection of machine learning and data engineering to drive innovation and create value for our customers.  We're looking for a talented Lead Machine Learning/Data Engineer to join our dynamic team to lead the development and deployment of cutting solutions.

The role:-

You will be responsible for leading and mentoring our Wollongong based team of data engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for leveraging machine learning, and architect scalable solutions.

You’ll be great for this role:

If you're passionate about leveraging data to solve complex problems, have a solid background in data engineering and machine learning with a deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, data engineering principles, and cloud technologies.

• Experience in architecting and implementing high performance RESTful microservices (API development for ML models)
• Strong proficiency in Snowflake, SQL, Python, and AWS.
• Experience with Tecton or similar feature engineering and model serving platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies, particularly AWS services such as S3, EC2, SageMaker, etc.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Hold Australian Permanent Residency or Unrestricted Work Visa
