Lead Maintenance Coordinator
Location: Tamworth / Port Macquarie / Newcastle or other areas by negotiation

Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10 ($120,859 - $133,183 pa), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role
The primary purpose of the role is to manage all Infrastructure service delivery and stakeholder relationships within a defined geographical region to provide safe and functional facilities for Department of Justice and Communities NSW staff, occupants and general public.
This is a unique opportunity to work in an Infrastructure Operations space that will provide you with invaluable knowledge, insight and experience into best practice portfolio, program and project management processes, governance, systems and tools.
What you’ll do
As part of the Infrastructure Operations business unit, reporting to the Senior Manager Infrastructure Maintenance, the Lead Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for the following (but not limited to):
- Interact with commercial partner to deliver high levels of responsiveness to issues to ensure that all infrastructure services related issues are addressed promptly.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and engage with the Commercial Service Partner to ensure that service delivery outcomes align with operational requirements and forward strategic planning.
- Provide analyses, reports and options papers to demonstrate accurate awareness current risks, service provider performance and customer service outcomes.
- Foreword plan and develop maintenance programs to address priorities within the available budget and resources at any given point in time.
- Actively monitor outcomes delivered by the commercial service partner to ensure that the best possible outcomes are achieved through the single operating model for Department of Communities and Justice NSW and make adjustments as needed.
- Develop risk management strategies to ensure all infrastructure services requirements within the defined region are addressed to ensure that liability is continually minimised.
- Prepare and interpret technical documents such as tenders, technical specifications and plans and managing financial allocations to ensure that operational and asset management priorities, budget, building standards and legislative requirements are met.
- Manage stakeholder consultation and maintain sound clients and contractor relationships to ensure that projects and service delivery meet operational needs and contract terms.
The role will require extensive travel on the road through Regional NSW and overnight stays will be required.
Essential requirements
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in facilities management, asset management and building principles or equivalent industry experience.
- Current and valid Driver’s licence, as it is a requirement of this role to travel to multiple locations across NSW by car and overnight stays will be required.
What we’re looking for
In addition to meeting the essential requirements, the successful candidate will have:
- Experience in the delivery of high levels of infrastructure services issues in a high demanding environment
- Experience with strategic planning and developing maintenance programs to address organisational priorities
- Managing competing priorities and high volumes of work effectively within tight timeframes resources, and budget
- Strong project management experience managing the delivery of asset maintenance
- Strong stakeholder management skills to engage with Commercial Service Providers
- Ability to prepare and interpret technical documents such as tenders, technical specifications and plans
- Strong knowledge of procurement, tendering and contracting and policies, procedures and statutory requirements in a complex, large organisation is highly regarded.
