Lead Mechanic

The role of the Lead Mechanic is to co-ordinate the team of mechanics. To ensure timely completion of repairs. To supervise the team, and ensure mechanical parts and all inspections meet the standard expected by Midas and its customers , without exception. You are responsible for repairing, overhauling and maintaining all types of vehicles small through to 4x4, along with European class and anything in between.
In relation to the above it is expected you would provide advice to the service advisors and customers on all matters to do with repairs. Conduct road tests and maintain the repair of equipment. Have strong and open leadership, ability to communicate effectively and openly. Be accountable for all decisions made by you and your team.

• Excellence in customer service, the customers vehicle and safety comes first.
• Be able to monitor the team of mechanics to carry out services, repairs and maintenance as needed, whilst providing direction and support.
• Proactive in the delivery of service, in a timely and accurate manner.
• Undertake additional responsibilities and requirements that ensure awareness and compliance to all legislations that impact the work from the team.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work
• To meet objectives and achieve results
• Strong problem solving and time management skills
• Qualifications that are appropriate are required
• Valid driver's licence
