These improvements are across different aspects of payroll such as data, controls and governance, systems and processes. Accurate, timely and efficient payroll is a critical core process for any organization, so joining this team provides an exciting opportunity to be part of the improvement of foundational HR processes that all employees rely on.We have newly established Lead positions available within the Systems and Automation stream of work, who will be accountable for the end-to-end management of sizeable work streams within a capital funded program. We are looking for passionate people who have previous experience delivering a technology transformation project and are keen to be involved in an initiative that will have a meaningful and positive impact to BHP globally.About the RoleWe are currently looking for several people leaders that will lead and manage workstreams within E2E Strategic Transformation - Systems and Automation. Accountable in prioritizing, integrating and effectively delivering project workstream aligned to overall program objectives. Provides day-to-day leadership over the team.Accountabilities

  • Partner with technology to drive workstream execution and ensure delivery is according to plan; successful quality completion of deliverables are produced; timely escalation of risks and issues are prioritized and communicated to key stakeholders; business readiness activities support the solution and corresponding mitigations and controls are in place.
  • Use functional and project management expertise to guide the team, ensuring solutions are resolving issues at the root cause; are aligned to program guiding principles; integrate appropriately with other workstream solutions as well as the broader HR roadmap
  • Provide strategic guidance to the team and partner with peers to ensure that the solutions align with other workstreams as well as the broader HR/ GBS H2R roadmap
  • Risk identification and resolution, proactive, pragmatic problem solving to ensure deadlines are met and that initiatives move forward at pace
  • Identification and engagement with key stakeholders aligned to the program OCM plan
  • Building and maintaining good working relationships with people located globally, both within BHP and externally (e.g. consultants, service providers, vendors etc.)
  • Manage a mixed, location diverse team of Principals, Specialists and external consultants and responsible for the associated people leadership activities.
  • Ensure relevant reporting, documentation, governance and adherence to project framework requirements
About You
  • Previous experience in leading workstreams within a large scale technology transformation from a functional/business perspective
  • You're comfortable to take the lead, proactively seek clarity and drive for outcomes when things are unclear
  • Project management capability to lead workstreams from scoping to embedment
  • Ability to lead a location diverse and virtual team, leveraging the various skills and experiences to achieve the objective
  • Ability to work pragmatically, simplify complex issues and keep team focused on key priorities
  • Strong strategic, analytical and creative mind with agile decision-making skills and ability to problem solve
  • Ability to identify and understand different stakeholders and their needs, influence others and work collaboratively to get aligned outcomes.
  • You can build strong personal connections and good working relationships and use these effectively.
  • Inquisitive in nature, strong attention to detail and determination to deliver.
  • Experience in HR operations, payroll transformations or a keen interest in HR systems and technology is advantageous.
