We are currently recruiting a Lead Piping Engineer for a Global Oil & Gas EPC in a permanent capacity, for an immediate start working across a major Brownfield project.Working closely with the Discipline Manager - Mechanical Piping (APAC West), you will thrive in an integral role for the Piping team, balancing people leadership and technical excellence to create an inspired culture and deliver for our clients. Taking the lead in this highly visible role, you will be supporting an established team who are focused on FEED / Execution to EPCM delivery on new and significant brownfields engineering projects, aligned with global energy transition and energy security (including CCS).Responsibilities:
- Acting as focal point for Piping Engineering activities across the project life cycle (Concept, FEED, detailed design) to produce fit for purpose solutions.
- Producing cost effective Piping Engineering reports, documents and deliverables
- Supporting and mentoring Piping Engineers and Designers and provide technical assistance as required.
- Providing technical input to business development, early customer engagement, tenders and studies
- Acting as a Technical Authority, ensuring technical integrity of all work performed on projects.
- Ensuring all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
You will have a Mechanical Engineering degree coupled with experience in a similar Principal / Lead Piping Engineering role within the brownfields Oil & Gas sector.
In addition, you will have:
- Proven leadership of diverse engineering teams with an ability to both challenge and coach talent in an inspired culture, while leading them towards high performance
- Broad understanding of the business drivers for energy sector clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Knowledge of and experienced in the use of Australian and International codes and standards.
- Knowledge of Pipe Stress Analysis and interpretation of report outputs
