Lead Piping Engineer

This is a great opportunity to join a major engineering company with a growing list of project work including lithium, gold and copper.  Joining the team on a long term, multi billion dollar project you will be based in the Perth CBD and your expertise will be utilised across the entire project lifecycle. 

You will contribute to the project through:

• Perform engineering and design calculations
• Prepare and review equipment specifications
• Contribute to internal and external meetings
• Reporting on progress
• Ensure work is completed to statutory and regulatory requirements
• provide advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• General project support for other packages.
• support junior personnel within the Piping Engineering team.

The ideal candidate will have a background & experience in:

• Bachelor of Mechanical engineering
• Previous specific experience in senior or lead level role on mining projects 
• Proficient using CAESAR II
• Experience in design of materials handling, carbon-in-leach, flotation, gravity separation and slurry pumping of mineral solids
• Respectful and clear communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team
• Ability to efficiently utilise internal and external stakeholders’ time
• Previous experience within a similar role
