Lead Product Designer - Ecosystem

As a Lead Product Designer on the Ecosystem team, your main focus will be working on our developer and partner experience, including our developer platform, Forge. You'll collaborate with product management and engineering to define problem spaces, develop innovative solutions, and deliver them to our customers and partners. You'll also have the opportunity to foster design excellence in the team and contribute to our design system.

• Lead complex and high-impact product design projects that help raise the quality bar for our users - from conceptual models to UI design.

• Champion design craft and mentor other designers.

• Collaborate with a range of cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Product Management, Research, Design, Marketing, and Data Science) across our Atlassian product portfolio.

• Conduct user research using various methods and principles to gain insights into customer needs and inform design solutions.

• Contribute to our Design System by creating new components, templates, and guidelines.

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in professional UX/UI product design implementing user-centered design best practices while addressing complex problems.

• Exceptional visual design skills including expertise in layout strategies, responsive design, data visualization, and motion design.

• Strong design skillset encompassing systems visualisation and design, user research, persona development, concept modelling, flow diagrams, information architecture, prototyping, etc.

• Proficiency in iterative design processes: sketching, sharing work, validating with customers, iterating, shipping, and learning.

• Experience in conducting and applying customer research.
