The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and reputableLead Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and directing the Project Managers and project engineers in the delivery of multiple projects. The aim is to achieve maximum financial activity, without compromising safety or the customer promise, while sustaining the tendered margins of the projects.
Responsibilities include:
• Ensure Project governance systems are in place to manage project deliverables, commercial obligations, progress, procurement, financial performance and risk.
• Ensure the Project Managers implement, and work to, project safe systems of work consistent with customer requirements and ATI policy.
• Working with Project Teams, undertake routine assessments to ensure that projects are on schedule, and risks are being identified and claimed. Travel to sites as necessary to verify progress.
• To maximise ATI project Activity through coordinating the various Project Teams to achieve the best overall Activity outcome.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to maximise projects Activity.
• Monitor Project Teams to ensure that variations are identified and claimed in terms of the contracts.
• Report on financial performance (Activity, forecast cost to complete, Margin, invoicing and variation status) of all projects in progress.
• Support Project Managers in resolving any commercial issues encountered during project delivery.
• As a member of the ATI leadership team, participate in monthly business performance reviews and the development of strategy, budgets and culture.
• Model the behaviours that evidence the evolution of the desired company culture.
• Maintain supplier relationships through good management, sound communication and ethical behaviour.
• Develop the organizational capability of the Project delivery teams through teamwork, training and coaching.
• Bring a continuous improvement mindset to governance practices and procedures.
• Other duties as requested by the General Manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential –
- Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications engineering, or project/construction management.
- Project management experience in the telecommunications field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable –
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Five years as a Lead Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in a related industry or manufacturing/ construction business.
