The request seeks to engage experienced sellers who have capability to provide a skilled Software Developer Lead Resource to lead a small team of Software Developers in the maintenance and enhancement of a sustainment system.
2. About the Project
The Directorate of Portfolio Performance Measurement (DPPM) within the Investment Portfolio Management Branch (IPMB) currently sustains and enhances CapabilityOne, an ICT system that manages information related to the One Defence Capability System.
Information from CapabilityOne supports decision makers in Defence. IPMB directly provides decision support to the Vice Chief of the Defence Force in his role as Chair of the Defence Investment Committee by providing independent analysis and advice to deliver a more capable Australian Defence Force.
CapabilityOne enables decision support relating to the management of the health and delivery of the Defence Integrated Investment Program (IIP).
The Directorate of Portfolio Performance Measurement, in the Department of Defence (DPPM), is seeking tenders to fill various software development roles. The role of a Software Developer in DPPM will need to build and implement functional programs for the CapabilityOne system.
3. Key Dates
Closing time and date - 03/06/2024
Anticipated start date - 01/07/2024
Contract term - 12 months (220 days)
Contract extension option - 3 X 12 month extension options
Location - ACT - Full-time - 40 hours paid week - All work will be completed on site, there is no work from home or remote working available.
4. Service Requirements
DPPM is seeking the following deliverables:
- Experience leading a development team, providing direction and constructive feedback
- Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications
- Integrate software components and third-party programs
- Verify and deploy programs and systems
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software
- Gather and evaluate user feedback
- Recommend and execute improvements
- Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
- DPPM is seeking the following skills:
- Proven experience as a Software Developer or similar role minimum 2 years experience
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment
- Knowledge of coding language C#
- Experience with React
