The Opportunity:
This pivotal role provides a unique opportunity to lead and oversee all aspects of our operational activities. You'll be responsible for driving efficiency, optimising resource allocation, and ensuring on-time, high-quality project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies and procedures to optimise efficiency and productivity.
- Manage project lifecycles, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget control.
- Oversee workshop operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and production deadlines.
- Manage and motivate a team of technicians, welders, and other workshop personnel.
- Liaise with clients to understand needs, manage expectations, and ensure successful project completion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate operational reports and documentation.
The Requirements:
To excel in this leadership role, you'll possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a marine or industrial operations or project management role
- Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating teams
- Strong understanding of marine or industrial engineering principles and workshop operations
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Proficient in project management methodologies and software tools
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
