Learning and Development (L&D) is a function within Kieser that's responsible for empowering employees’ growth and developing their knowledge, skills, and capabilities to drive better business performance.

This role reports through to the Head of Learning & Development, and works in collaboration with the following L&D leads:

  • Exercise Science Development Lead
  • Exercise Physiology Development Lead, and
  • Physiotherapy Development Lead
Job Description

Kieser has large growth aspirations and a potential barrier to this growth is the development of current and future leaders.  

This role holds the key responsibility of developing leaders across Kieser through training and development interventions. These interventions span workshop design and development, and the facilitation of group training and 1-1 coaching. Inherently, the role requires the creation of learning resources to enrich the learning experience, and for leaders to utilise on-the-job to continuously enhance capability. 

Position Responsibilities

  1. Complete ongoing training needs analysis (TNA) to understand the Kieser leadership capabilities that need to be built, grown and maintained through learning and development. 

  2. Review market trends and industry research to apply best practice principles to learning interventions. 

  3. Project manage the design, development and implementation of Learning & Development (L&D) solutions which fit both Kieser and leadership capability needs, in line with the business strategy and plan. 

  4. Work autonomously or partner with L&D team or third-party providers to design blended learning solutions. Liaise with key stakeholders and subject matter experts on projects for effective, relevant and accurate training interventions. 

  5. Effectively implement L&D solutions via 1-1, group coaching, workshop facilitation and/or online learning to leaders, as appropriate. 

  6. Review and assess the effectiveness of training interventions and solutions. 

  7. Support and assist in the development of other Leads to strengthen and broaden the Leadership Development offer.  

  8. Interstate travel required. 

Qualifications

Essential skills include

  • Demonstrated experience in learning design and delivery of Leadership Development interventions utilising andragogy (Adult Learning Principles) and coaching methodology.  

  • Minimum 4 years leading teams and conducting coaching conversations (preferably in a clinical setting). 

  • Practical skills with Microsoft Office suite of products; Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular. 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage key stakeholders. 

  • A dynamic and collaborative approach to teamwork. 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality output. 

  • Demonstrated capacity to determine processes, meet firm deadlines and effectively balance competing demands, and the ability to work both under pressure independently and as a member of the team. 

  • Strong, demonstrated focus on the client experience. 

  • Analytical and logical approach, and a proactive problem solver. 

Desirable skills include 

  • Understanding of the e-Learning environment and a Learning Management System (LMS)/ Learner Experience Platform (LXP). 

  • Knowledge and experience in testing/assessing leadership capability.

  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and improving individual/team capability.

Additional Information
