About the role
The Road Construction & Maintenance Branch is where key road and drainage services are delivered directly to the Logan City community. The branch is focused on delivering excellent customer service in a timely manner and to a high quality. Our branch is made up of 2 programs ‘Road Maintenance’ and ‘Road Construction’.
Our Maintenance branch are seeking experienced leaders to assist with the day-to-day planning and delivery of tasks associated with road and drainage maintenance activities. We have 2 positions available at our Munruben Depot and 1 position at our Marsden depot.
You will have the skill set to supervise and lead a small team to achieve work outputs in relation to road drainage maintenance services such as:
- Litter and illegal dumping, easement drainage, incident response, bollards and fencing, street bins;
- Footpaths/bikeways, kerb and channel, and road and drainage reinstatements;
- Potholes and pavement failures;
- Sign and guidepost installation;
- Road linemarking, road signage and precast traffic islands.
More specifically, if you have experience in any of the below skill sets, we would love to hear from you!
- Road Linemarking and Road Signage
- Experience working with Asphalt (Hot and Cold)
- Experience working on a Flocon
Minimum requirements of the role include:
- Experience leading a team to complete a range of road maintenance activities
- Hold a current Australian minimal HR, up to HC or MC driver's licence (when driving vehicles . 4.5T GVM
- Hold a General Safety Induction Card (Construction Industry)
- Must be willing to undergo a Pre-Employment functional assessment and be assessed as being able to meet the functional requirements of the position.
- Hold a C Class Drivers License
