Duties & Responsibilities:
- Direct and lead our team of skilled carpenters, managing projects with finesse and accuracy.
- Employ your first and second fix carpentry experience to deliver consistently high-quality workmanship.
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and communicate effectively to ensure project goals are met.
- Utilise your background in Passive House construction and familiarity with specialised materials to push the boundaries of sustainable building practices.
- Reliably quantify materials, oversee their efficient use, and ensure the project's success.
- Mentor apprentices and other team members, sharing your knowledge and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency with a diverse range of tools and their appropriate applications, underscoring your genuine passion for exceptional construction performance.
- Take the lead in steering our dynamic teams, managing personnel effectively, and promoting development within the crew.
Qualifications Needed:
- Proven experience as a Leading Hand and a background in carpentry are essential.
- More than 5 years of qualified carpentry experience is essential.
- Previous experience in a Leading Hand role.
- Familiarity with a large variety of tools and their applications.
- A vested interest in high-performance construction.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
- Cert III in Carpentry or an equivalent qualification.
- Possession of a valid White Card.
- Must be legally permitted to work in Australia.
