About the role
Kennedys Group is seeking a Leading Hand Plumber to join our team at the Geelong branch. The ideal candidate will possess experience in commercial and industrial plumbing, along with proficient plumbing maintenance skills. We are looking for a proactive individual with leadership qualities who can ensure the team's safety and productivity while performing the daily duties of a Registered Plumber.
These daily duties include, but are not limited to:
Leadership:
- Ensuring compliance with Kennedys' policies and procedures by all on-site workers.
- Providing leadership to team members through mentoring and demonstrating quality work.
- Maintaining a positive work environment and fostering teamwork among workers on-site.
Daily Duties:
- Reviewing building plans and specifications to determine plumbing layout and material requirements.
- Undertaking general plumbing tasks as per job requirements.
- General maintenance including hot water repairs, blockages, and scheduled maintenance.
- Project works including below ground civil works and fire service works.
- Adhering to all relevant codes during installations, repairs, and maintenance.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
The successful candidate will be a Registered Plumber with over 4 years of experience in residential, commercial, and industrial environments, with experience in water distribution and wastewater disposal.
You will display initiative, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, as well as effective communication skills, and professionalism. Collaboration with other trades and companies on-site, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality work, is expected.
You will hold the below licences:
- Certification in Plumbing from a recognised and accredited post-secondary institution
- Manual driver's license
- Working with children's check
- Police Check
- Working safely at Heights training
- Permanent rights to work in Australia.
- Roofing experience (beneficial but not required).
