The Leading Hand Transfer Station will be responsible for supervising the operation of a Transfer Station to ensure excellent customer service is provided to the community.     

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Demonstrated experience in effectively managing and leading a team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage an operational site taking responsibility and accountability for site functions, safety and environmental outcomes.
• A demonstrated ability to effectively operate machinery associated with waste management and any applicable licences.
• "HR" class driver licence essential
• Loader and excavator tickets desirable
• Apply operational site management practices in accordance with Site Based Management Plans and the conditions of the Environmental Authority.
• Computer skills as required to operate weighbridge software and associated technology and Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
• Sound verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound interpersonal skills as they relate to customer service.
• Sound cash handling skills.
• Demonstrated ability to apply detailed knowledge and problem-solving skills to situations that arise within this specialised field.
• Experience in waste disposal or a similar industry is desirable.
