This role will encompass: the creation and oversight of Professional Learning teams. management of new staff induction of the school. management and oversight of the VIT process. the planning and conduct of all school wide curriculum and professional development days. and management of the school professional development program. The PLT Leading Teacher will work effectively with the management of the school to build a responsive and dynamic Professional Learning culture. They will also need to be highly resourceful and able to adapt to meet the ongoing challenges of staff work at this time.
Duties include:
¿ Management of the school VIT accreditation program.
¿ Leadership of the school Professional Learning teams initiative.
¿ Conduct of professional development and curriculum days for staff.
¿ Management of the professional development budget and application process for the entire school.
¿ Coordination of new staff induction in conjunction with the leadership of the school.
¿ Close liaison with the PCO¿s and the school leadership team to ensure that strategic directions are being actioned through the Professional Learning teams.
¿ Regular email communication/newsfeeds to staff with regard to professional development opportunities and the direction of the PLT initiative.
¿ Advocacy for the importance of Professional Learning and a Professional Learning team culture within the school.
¿ Oversight and management of the NAPLAN testing process and analysis of results and presentation to staff.
¿ Attending additional events relevant for the role.
