With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2024.
The Wantirna South campus is seeking a part-time, fixed term, Learning Support Coordinator (Secondary) (FTE 0.6). This is a 12-month parental leave replacement contract commencing in September 2024.
We are seeking a candidate who desires to play a vital role in the creation of an inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive. A Learning Support Coordinator is integral to ensuring that students receive the necessary support to facilitate their active participation in school and classroom activities. Your support will make a lasting impact on their educational journey.
The successful applicant must:
- Be a qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Have current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement.
- Have a passion for supporting students with disabilities
- Be able to collaborate with teachers, students, and other Learning Support staff
- Be able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
- Be willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities.
- Have high level communication and interpersonal skills.
