AddressWe are seeking a dedicated an enthusiastic Learning Support Teacher to join our community. This is a 0.8 FTE part time position (a 0.6 FTE may be negotiable for a suitable candidate).
The position will commence 24th July 2024.
Pacific Hope Christian School is a special school providing Christian Education for students with a mild to moderate level of intellectual delay or Autism in Year 1 to Year 12. This co-educational Christian learning community is committed to developing and nurturing its students. Pacific Hope Christian School is located in Tweed Heads on the far north coast of NSW and is part of the Pacific Group of nine Christian schools, with six of these schools located in regional NSW. Pacific Hope Chrisitan School is located on the same site as Pacific Coast Christian School and has its own Campus Director but shares facilities. Each student is unique, and we aim to develop the full potential in each individual by providing a mixture of individualised and small group instruction and support. Pacific Hope Christian School has a clear vision to honour Christ in all its programs and practices. This role will provide education advice and direct support to teachers to assist with differentiation and adjustments, and support students with diverse educational needs.

The successful application will possess:
- Post Graduate qualification in Special Education (partial completion or a willingness to obtain), or a compatible post graduate accreditation.
- An understanding of, and ability to, differentiate curriculum.
- Ability to collaborate with teachers and families in the support of students.
- Experience in developing and evaluating Individual Educational Plans.
- Ability to conduct standardised testing.
- Experience and/or knowledge of the NCCD processes and requirement.
- Experience implementing intervention programs such as MultiLit is desirable.
