Our divine client design is adored for their exaggerated shapes, unique hand-crafted embroidery & eclectic natural textiles.
As the Pattern Maker, you will be responsible for creating and developing patterns for contemporary women's fashion garments. You will require a high level of technical expertise and impeccable attention to detail, as well as a thorough understanding of garment construction and design.
The successful candidate will have:
- Min. 3 years of pattern making experience, ideally in contemporary women’s fashion
- Excellent knowledge of garment construction and design
- Exceptional technical skill set in pattern making and grading
- Proficiency in industry-standard pattern making software (Lectra or Gerber)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A strong willingness to innovate, learn and problem-solve
- Able to meet project deadlines and prioritise tasks to the needs of the design and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and develop contemporary womenswear patterns, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure all patterns meet design specs
- In collaboration with the Design team, develop new styles & designs
- In collaboration with the Production team, ensure patterns are optimised for production
- Consistently maintain the artisanal quality of the garment
- Adjust patterns as required, to ensure desired fit and style
- Conduct fits and make alterations
- Understand & stay up to date with current fashion trends and techniques in pattern making
- Bring new & innovative ideas to the design team by experimenting with new materials, techniques and processes
