The position offers an opportunity to develop and contribute to research and teaching in physiotherapy as part of a multi-disciplinary team at the Faculty of Medicine and Health.We are looking to onboard a Lecturer (Education focused, Level B) in a fixed-term compacity – the incumbent will be located in the Susan Wakil Health building on the Camperdown Campus.To be successful you will have clinical expertise in one or more of the following areas ofphysiotherapy: musculoskeletal or neurological physiotherapyYour key responsibilities include:Apply learnings through research and scholarly activity to inform their education and research practicedevelop research collaborations which will ultimately result in knowledge or technology transfer leading to commercialisation, improved policy or practice and/or enhancements to industry, the profession or the communityundertake independent teaching in discipline, area of expertise or related areaevaluate teaching and learning - both at a program level and in relation to own practice – and applies learnings to improve practice and outcomescoordinate the activities of other academic staff within their teamdevelop profile through conferences, seminars and outreach activitiesmaintain active involvement with discipline and professional associations, including assisting with the organisation of seminars, conferences and activitieshare research knowledge and expertise through communication of scholarship with industry, the community and through public eventsundertake original research (either independently or as part of a team)build and maintains a research profile which meets University expectations and standards – including (as appropriate) publication of book chapters/ peer-reviewed journal articles, producing conference/ seminar papers, generating research income including though applying for competitive grants – either independently or as part of a team.About youClinical qualifications and experience in physiotherapy; PhD in an academic field relevant to the disciplinea developing research profile evidenced by original, high-quality and independent research in the discipline or area of expertiseexperience in teaching and learning, as evidenced by participation in teaching within an established program and experience in teaching in a variety of settingsexperience in participation as a team member in designing, implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiativesexperience in supervising or mentoring others and/or coordinating team activitiesa developing knowledge and understanding of the key strategic issues in the discipline and higher education sectorhave a developing network of relationships with key academic, industry, and professional institutions, partners, and stakeholders.To keep our community safe, please be aware of our which form our conditions of entry for all staff, students and visitors coming to campus.Pre-employment checksYour employment is conditional upon the completion of all role required pre-employment or background checks in terms satisfactory to the University.
