About the Role
Reporting to the Academic Program Director (Experiential Learning), this teaching specialist role in Experiential Learning will join a small academic team responsible for the development, delivery and administration of the Faculty’s suite of experiential learning subjects and related academic programs. In this role, the incumbent will provide subject coordination and deliver lectures, workshops or tutorials in experiential learning subjects embedded within the Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Management and Master of International Business programs or other Faculty offerings. This role may also include a research focus, centred on innovation in experiential learning and pedagogies in business and economics.
Responsibilities include:
- Engaging in instructional design and learning innovation to design and deliver high quality experiential learning subjects
- Designing, preparing and delivering experiential learning activities and subjects
- Work collaboratively with teaching faculty to embed experiential learning through innovation in learning.
About You
You demonstrate a scholarly approach to teaching and learning activities and are able to analyse and address student learning needs related to experiential learning. Your excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills allow you to develop relationships and work collaboratively and effectively with academic and professional colleagues, business and industry partners or other professional associations. You have experience in the role of a teacher, able to manage teaching related administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
You will also have:
- A doctoral level qualification in a Business and Economics discipline; and/or the equivalent relevant professional or practice-based experience and expertise.
- Evidence of a track record of research in business and economics education, preferably in experiential, authentic and/or work-integrated learning at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
- Knowledge of education and teaching technologies to support experiential and work-integrated learning.
