  • Based in UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance at the City East campus
  • 2x full-time, continuing positions
  • Commencement Salary: (Level A) $96,929 / (Level B) $109,074 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)
About the Role
Commencing in February 2024, as the Lecturer in Occupational Therapy, you will be responsible for contributing to the teaching, scholarship, research and professional activities within UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance. Your focus will primarily be on teaching in the Occupational Therapy discipline, however, due to an increased focus on multidisciplinary teaching, you may be required to work with multidisciplinary student groups.
The Lecturer in Occupational Therapy will use contemporary professional/discipline-related knowledge in their teaching practice and carry out activities to develop scholarly expertise.
An appointment will be made at Academic Level A or B, dependent on qualifications and experience as referenced in the position description.

About UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance
The UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance Academic Unit offers a wide range of degrees and conducts research in the fields of physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, podiatry, medical radiation sciences, medical sonography, speech pathology, clinical exercise physiology, exercise and nutrition, health sciences, public health, exercise and sport science, and human movement.
Core Responsibilities
Level A
  • Initiate, develop, and deliver courses, as appropriate, and work with the team in the development of program change and innovation including flexible and online delivery
  • Apply research and scholarship to the development of courses, including investigating and developing alternative teaching methods and the initiation and development of new material
  • Undertake research and scholarly activities (independently or as a member of a team) which will disseminated to the wider community.
  • Actively participate in Academic Unit and discipline committees/groups
Level B
  • Maintain the quality of the courses through course review and development to meet industry / organisational needs, educational requirements and quality standards
  • Coordinate the timely delivery of courses including preparing and delivering lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials, facilitating online learning, assessment development and marking
  • Supervise honours or postgraduate students as appropriate to qualifications
  • Undertake research and scholarly activities which will enhance the research profile of the University. Create, foster and enhance national and international links with relevant industry, business, university and community bodies that assist the advancement of University's objectives
Essential Skills and Experience
Level A
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Board Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated expertise, knowledge and a commitment to the contemporary practice of Occupational Therapy
  • Demonstrated high standard of interpersonal ability, written and oral communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a diverse team
Level B
  • PhD qualification in a relevant discipline and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Board Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated capacity and commitment to research and scholarship in health practice and education of health professionals
  • Demonstrated commitment to continual professional and personal development
