North Metropolitan TAFE is the established State Government provider of vocational education and training for the northern Perth region. Our mission is to nurture participation, productivity and aspirations for our learners, our industry and our community.

About the role
We are currently seeking candidates with experience and expertise as light fabricator to plan, develop and deliver training and assessment to students in this study area. 

The lecturer’s primary role is to teach, facilitate learning, assess and mentor students in accordance with relevant curriculum and/or training package requirements.  Lecturers also undertake Professional Activities and Activities Related to Delivery.  In order to maintain quality educational services, lecturers are required to keep abreast of technological and other developments in their field through professional development to provide up-to-date information and advice to the College and industry, where appropriate.

Relevant Qualification
To be eligible for employment candidates will require a relevant industry qualification and at least five (5) years industry experience.

This is an open recruitment pool and as such the following should be noted:

  • The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applicants and will assess on a regular basis

  • Appointments may be made from this pool until 30 December 2024

Eligibility for employment is subject to you obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance and, if this position involves contact with children, a Working with Children (WWC) Card.

To be eligible for appointment you must have a working visa (for fixed term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).
