Lecturer (Casual role) positions are available in 2024 at our Adelaide Campus. These positions report directly to the Executive Dean /Academic Discipline Head. Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent, an outstanding record of teaching relevant to the advertised positions below, enthusiasm for educating international students in Higher Education, a record of scholarly engagement in a relevant discipline and experience working collaboratively with partner organisations, industry, and community groups.

Candidates should be able to teach multiple units across Bachelor and Master’s Degrees. Preference will be given to those who are able to teach in the following areas:

Person Specifications:
- PhD in Information and Communications Technology or a closely related discipline.
- Must have at least three years of Higher Education ICT teaching experience in Australia.
- Must have experience in digital delivery of units in Higher Education.
- Strong courseware development skills are essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills especially in student facing situations.
- Australian FULL work rights are essential.
- Professional IT certification and/or hands on industry experience is advantageous.
Desirable:
- Course administration experience is desirable.
- Good knowledge of academic related administration in university set up is advantageous.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain on campus hours as rostered
- Teach ICT Bachelor / Master course units (face-to-face and/or online) assigned by Discipline Head or delegates.
- Conduct tutorials and labs and support student learning through active consulting (face-to-face and/or online).
- Carry out assessment/examination/project marking.
- Prepare/Develop quality learning materials that can support multi-modal learning environment.
- Undertake course management and administration tasks in areas of student progress, examinations, maintain academic records management etc.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students.
- Willing to teach at times, location, and modalities to meet the needs of our students
- Willingness to participate in the institution’s continuous improvement process
- Willingness to work with peers to support the mission of the Institution.
- Participation in designated committee activities as required.
- Participate in professional development activities as required.
- Other professional duties as assigned by the Executive Dean and/or Discipline Head
