We are a leading Criminal Law firm in Melbourne seeking a full-time legal assistant to attend to general office/reception duties and provide assistance to our team of solicitors.
As our Legal Administration Assistant you will be highly organised, well-presented, motivated and a confident individual with the ability to problem solve, prioritise tasks and assist wherever necessary in the office.
Office and reception duties include:
- Meet and greet guests at reception;
- Maintaining meeting room and reception area;
- Kitchen management;
- Mail distribution;
- Organising couriers; and
- Out of office tasks.
Secretarial duties include:
- Assisting lawyers and legal secretaries wherever necessary;
- Word processing and Dictaphone transcribing;
- AI transcription;
- General administrative tasks;
- Collating client briefs for Counsel;
- Filing, photocopying and scanning; and
- Diary and file management, including archiving of files.
The successful candidate should have:
- Minimum 1 year of legal assistant experience;
- Excellent organisational skills;
- Professional presentation;
- Enthusiasm and honesty;
- Exceptional communication skills and a professional phone manner; and
- Intermediate/Advanced Word, Leap and Outlook would be beneficial.
