We are a Family Law firm based in Deakin looking for a new team member who can fill the role of Legal Assistant with some general Office Administration work thrown in!
This role would suit a person who is looking to work school hours or part-time, but every day in the office – 9:00am to 2:00pm would be ideal for us.
You will be working closely with the Practice Manager to ensure the smooth running of the firm.
Your day would usually involve:
- Answering and directing incoming calls, emails and documents;
- Diary management and general administration duties including electronic filling, opening files and assisting with coordinating the paralegal team;
- Data entry;
- Create and maintain accurate records;
- Basic correspondence and preparation of briefs.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be:
- Proactive and tactful with a “can do” attitude;
- Maturity with flexibility to work as a team member;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Impeccable attention to detail;
- Good typing, spelling and grammar;
- Intermediate Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, TEAMS and Excel;
- Ability to use ActionStep would be well regarded;
- Maintain a high level of client and company confidentiality.
