Our client is a key player in the Australian renewable energy sector, specialising in the full life cycle of projects including construction, development, asset management and related maintenance. This business boasts a large portfolio of projects across New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a junior-mid level lawyer to join the close-knit legal team of a rapidly growing global business within the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing legal advice in relation to the sale and acquisition of renewable energy assets, project development, construction, regulatory and project finance.
- Negotiating confidentiality agreements (NDAs), EPC contracts, asset management, grid connection, land access, facility and asset management agreements.
- Providing support in relation to the projects planning process, including project approvals and licensing.
- Educating the business on legal and regulatory changes, and advise the business on the impacts of these changes.
- Drafting board resolutions and approvals and liaising with external firms for support in relation to other company secretarial work.
- Admitted as a Solicitor in Australia or New Zealand
- Minimum 3 years PAE with front end construction/ infrastructure experience from time spent in private practice or inhouse.
- You will have experience with energy projects (coal, oil, gas or renewables).
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
