Our client is a global company specialised in trade and transport. Due to an increasing workload we are seeking a highly motivated and talented lawyer to join the growing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the business on a wide range of commercial transactions and regulatory matters as well as support the compliance and company secretarial functions.
Responsibilities will include:
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements including: supply, licensing, distribution, and service agreements;
Advising on regulatory matters such as data protection, anti-slavery, anti-bribery and corruption, and competition law;
Providing legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, and risk management;
Conducting legal research and staying up-to-date with changes in the law and regulations and willingness to take on leadership roles;
Providing training to internal stakeholders on legal, regulatory and compliance matters.
You will have:
Approximately 3-5 years PQE in general commercial/corporate law acquired in a leading law firm or in-house legal department;
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen;
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills;
Sound knowledge of regulatory compliance issues;
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external parties;
Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
