Legal Counsel /Senior Legal Counsel High Profile Projects Newcastle Our client a leading commercial business operating across the Infrastructure, energy, resources, transport, defence and building and construction sectors is seeking a Legal Counsel to join it’s growing legal team. Reporting to the Legal Director, this role will involve: Providing strategic commercial and legal advice on major infrastructure projects across a number of sectors including transport, renewables and resourcesReviewing, drafting and negotiating contractsDrafting precedent suites of commercial agreements relevant to the infrastructure marketProviding advice on contractual dispute resolution procedures Key Requirements: Ideally a minimum of 5-8years PQE gained either from a renowned private practice or In-house organisationExperience in advising on complex transactions, with exposure to project delivery issuesIn-depth understanding of construction law and contractsExperience with commercial policies and identifying key risks within contractsProven ability to manage competing deadlinesA pro-active and commercial approach to projects and work loads.
