The Role
We're seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator (Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle required) or Leisure and Lifestyle Officer (Certificate III in Individual Support - Ageing required).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and culturally appropriate Leisure and Lifestyle programs for residents, ensuring adherence to Aged Care quality standards.
- Assess and understand residents' interests, needs, and preferences, adapting activities accordingly.
- Facilitate individual and group activities, fostering resident participation and skill development.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make adjustments as needed, collaborating with the care team.
- Promote resident involvement in creative programs and build a sense of community within the facility and beyond.
Coordinator-specific duties:
- Lead and support the Leisure and Lifestyle team.
- Facilitate monthly resident meetings, taking minutes and distributing them to residents afterwards.
- Manage and utilize volunteers for activities, fostering positive relationships.
Officer-specific duties:
- Liaise with volunteers to support resident activities.

Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Leisure and Lifestyle programs in Aged Care (Coordinator: minimum 3 years, Officer: minimum 1 year)
- Strong group facilitation and one-on-one communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with residents, staff, and volunteers
- Innovative approach to creating tailored activities
- Commitment to current Aged Care quality standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Current police check and unrestricted Australian driver's licence (or ability to obtain)
