About the RoleDue to our recent growth, we are seeing a Full Time Lending Centre Consultant, located at our Bundaberg Head Office, to join its Lending Centre Contact Team (linked to the Bank’s 1300 Customer Care line).  This role is responsible for providing quality and efficient service for the ongoing support, retention, and maintenance of the Bank’s home lending customers.   In short helping our customers with their existing home loans.

We find people who are confident, lively, have a sense of humour with an underlining caring attitude towards people and can keep positive are likely to excel in these roles. 

While experience in customer service, home lending and/or Contact Centre would be advantageous, it is not critical, it is more about who you are and how you could enhance the customer experience! We will supply training and support to give you the right tools to be successful!  So, if you have considered a career in Banking and have a passion for helping people, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage both inbound and outbound telephone calls / electronic enquiries with the Bank’s valuable customers on matters associated with their Home Loans
  • Act as “Case Managers” for both the Bank and its customers to ensure a positive, efficient and effective resolution for all Home Loan maintenance enquiries and requests
  • Ensure timely and appropriate updates to customers regarding their home loan enquiries and maintenance requests, and take ownership if needed, ensure the appropriate outcomes are delivered as promised
  • Champion change and improvement across the customer’s home loan journey by acting as the “Voice of the Customer”

About You

As well as having strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to have empathy to others, you will also need to:

  • Be willing to work within a team that has clear purpose within the Bank.
  • A self-motivated individual with positive energy levels.
  • Be enthusiastic to develop knowledge and apply to solving problems in a professional and positive manner and is known for accuracy with an attention to detail.
  • Can work autonomously within the guided principles and delegations.
  • The ability to develop effective Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Core Banking systems knowledge (training will be provided).
  • Be resilient, patient and believe in what you do.
