AddressThis role is part of the Northern Goldfield Youth Connection Project from the Stephen Michael Foundation (SMF). The project is aimed at young people between the ages of 11 and 18 and is focussed on improving young people’s education engagement, employment capacity and reducing anti-social behaviour. It is anticipated that the project will reach more than 150 young people through the delivery of a suite of programs and activities across the region.
Positive relationships in key areas of the Norther Goldfields region have been established by past engagement from the SMF and includes local young people, community members, service providers and government agencies. Young people will be identified and invited to participate in program activities from a combination of referrals from local schools, service providers, government agencies (such as local police and local shires), locally based Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations, local elders, and community members. Activities delivered as part of this role and project will require to be inclusive and accessible to all young people residing in the region regardless of cultural background, gender, or ability.
