Thorne Harbour Health’s services to the LGBTIQ+ community and people living with HIV recognise the importance of specialist responses led by the LGBTIQ+ community for the community and that HIV related programs adhere to the principles of the meaningful involvement of people living with and affected by HIV.
Working within the newly established Mental Health Local Services “Locals”, this exciting role will work collaboratively with a range of Mental Health services in the service. The Locals will act as the ‘front door’ service to the Mental Health system.
Working in partnership with several external agencies, the successful candidate will coordinate Thorne Harbour Health’s input into newly established Mental Health Services operating in Dandenong and Melton. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, sexuality, and gender-affirming Mental Health services.
The LGBTIQ+ Specialist Mental Health Manager will also oversee the LGBTIQ+ Mental Health Clinician and LGBTIQ+ Mental Health Peer Worker.
