Engender Equality is a dynamic and professional specialist service offering counselling, support and information to people who have experienced Family Violence.
Engender Equality is partnering with Working It Out, Tasmania’s LGBTIQA+ support, advocacy, and education service, to implement the LGBTIQA+ Family Violence Guidelines Project. This project will develop a set of trauma-informed and inclusive LGBTIQA+ Family Violence practice guidelines to support service delivery and practice across specialist services. We aim to improve Family Violence/intimate partner violence support responses for LGBTIQA+ people.
Essential requirements
- Knowledge of key issues associated with Family Violence and intimate partner violence in LGBTIQA+ relationships, which may include lived expertise
- Understanding and experience delivering outcome-focused projects, including planning, monitoring, and reporting
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, including digital competency
- Initiative and enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork across our committed teams. Working It Out and Engender Equality rely on small, passionate workforces to accomplish goals for our communities.
