Liability Underwriter

An exciting opportunity to join the Pride at Lion Underwriting has become available. Our ideal candidate will have 2 or more years' experience as a Liability Underwriter.

With a focus on work life balance, this role will allow you the option to work up to 2 days per week from home.  Our office is conveniently located just off the M1 at Loganholme. This position would ideally suit candidates based in the South Brisbane, Logan or North Gold Coast regions.

Lion Underwriting is a privately owned company and have built a solid and experienced team. We invite you to join us on this journey as we continue to grow our business. Our specialty is in finding solutions for hard to place risks, and we have established a strong brand in this area.

Position

• Drive new enquiries, Underwrite and produce General Liability quotes
• Manage Renewals and mid-term adjustments on a generous existing portfolio
• Liaise and develop relationships with brokers across Australia
• Coordinate placement with Insurers locally and overseas

The Ideal candidate 

• Tier 1 or 2 qualification.
• 2 or more years underwriting experience in General Liability
• Excellent customer service and relationship building skills
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Enthusiastic, self motivated and team spirited business approach  
• Sound communication skills
• Analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail
• Good understanding of General Liability Underwriting principles
