About the role

As Library Makerspace Officer, you will be part of Digital Experience team, and responsible for supporting patrons in the Council Makerspaces. Your focus will be on supporting the customer experience within the Makerspaces and creating a fun and supportive environment for patrons of all ages.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to the delivery of an intuitive, engaging experience of the Makerspaces
  • Ensure technology in the Makerspaces are running effectively and troubleshoot accordingly
  • Assist patrons with use of equipment within the Makerspace and provide coaching sessions around 3D Printing, modelling, and design
  • Collaborate with your colleagues to develop and implement rotating challenges and programs that promote creativity and learning within the Makerspace

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Substantial interpersonal skills including experience in engaging with customers in a learning through practice environment
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or substantial experience
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve through providing options and solutions with a planned approach to issue resolution
  • A current Queensland C class driver's licence
  • Working with Children Check - issue of Blue Card and Positive Notice Letter (issued by the Queensland Government) or Exemption Card
  • An excellent fit with our values of communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency, and leadership

This is a permanent part-time role, 19 hours per week, level 3 with a salary commencing at $77,104 per annum (pro-rata), plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
