A variety of shifts are available across the week and including during the term time and school holidays. We will be able to work with the successful candidate regarding their availability and the shifts available.The Library Technician is an integral member of the Ravenswood Learning Resource Centre (LRC) team and works with the Head of LRC, the Teacher Librarians and the Library Technicians in their liaison with students, staff, parents and suppliers to deliver an efficient and welcoming service within the school community. The Library Technician may be required to work in both the Junior and Senior libraries, as this proactive role contributes to a welcoming and collaborative environment in the Ravenswood Learning Resource Centre. A growth mindset and a responsible and ethical approach to all aspects of this position are desirable. Role Responsibility The successful applicant/s will have a genuine love of literacy and education in a school context Establish and/or monitor day-to-day systems and workflows in consultation with Library team members Familiarity with automated library systems and procedures alongside excellent ICT skills and a willingness to learn innovative technologies is necessary Information Desk duty at lunchtime, after school, and especially during class visits, to ensure the highest possible level of service.
