We are seeking a Library Technician to join our School Library Team at the Islamic College of Brisbane!
You will be part of an ever-growing community of passionate staff looking to bring the best out of our students. Applications are welcome from experienced and passionate Library Technicians who will be responsible for front desk duties including customer service, cataloguing and maintaining the library collection, creating a welcoming library environment that offers a range of initiatives throughout the year, and maintaining an innovative and progressive outlook on the library service offered.
This is a full-time role during school term time, Monday to Friday 7:30am to 4pm.
The ideal candidate
- A strong understanding and demonstrated experience in contemporary library practices
- Well-developed interpersonal skills coupled with strong customer service
- Competent with the Oliver library system is highly advantageous or either the ability to quickly acquire skills
- Strong administrative skills with a high level of competence in MS Suite
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
- A high level of attention to detail
- The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- A can-do attitude and high level of flexibility
