Air Link Engineering is part of the Aviation Logistics Group, one of Australia’s largest general aviation and regional airline groups offering scheduled passenger services, charter flights, freight and critical aeromedical flights via its three associated companies – Air Link, Airmed and Chartair. The group operates a fleet of 70 aircraft and employs a team of almost 300 professionals across seven bases in Melbourne (Essendon Airport), Sydney (Bankstown Airport), Dubbo, Brisbane (Archerfield Airport), Alice Springs, Katherine and Darwin. The group also operates four aircraft maintenance facilities providing both inhouse and customer aircraft maintenance programs and traces its foundations back to 1974.
About the Role
We are seeking experienced B1 (mechanical) and B2 (avionics) aircraft maintenance engineers to join our team in Bankstown and Dubbo.
You will work closely with our team to conduct line and base maintenance on our extensive fleet of aircraft.
Responsibilities
As a LAME you will be required to:
- Compliance with the procedures contained in the AMO Exposition;
- Ensuring that all maintenance that has been completed is certified by appropriately Licenced Aircraft maintenance engineers or authority holders, prior to the conclusion of a shift;
- Co-ordination of maintenance when required and approved to do so;
- Responsible for ensuring that tooling and equipment used are serviceable and where applicable, within calibration date;
- Implementation and encouragement of all workplace safety policies (including the reporting of accidents, incidents and concerns to a higher authority); and
- Running of aircraft engines if authorised to do so;
- Certification of work in accordance with company authorisation;
- Mentoring of apprentices including supervision of work, and ensuring any work undertaken is accurately recorded on the worksheet.
- Ensuring all tools are returned to toolboxes at the end of each day
- Complying with and completing all training assigned.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Hold a CASA issued Aircraft Engineer licence
- Comprehensive knowledge of the regulations and standards applicable to airworthiness of aircraft .
- Comprehensive knowledge of Part 145 regulations and MOS
- Demonstrated understanding of Part 145 AMO Exposition requirements.
